Green Room - Week 7 - Day 1

The polls are CLOSE. Your vote may be the difference between keeping in one of your favorites, or even someone that you see a greater potential in. Which means if you haven't cast it yet, it's time!

A few votes in any direction, especially this month, is going to make a huge difference.

There's still a lot of entries, and not everyone gets a chance to see them all - Who isn't, in your opinion, getting the love they deserve?

How are you doing today? Smiling like sunshine or crying like Tebow?

Aww. Don't be sad. It keeps me from having heart palpitations. Also probably helps keep my migraines at bay.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to finishing this sweater. It's going to be pretty. And if luck is on my side it will even fit!

Got my totals sorted out. Had to run a secondary report because there was prior year money involved--but it took me a while to figure that out.

Now it's almost time for my lunch break and I'm excited. Food time! Woo!

Well, I would never want you to have migraines or heart palpitations.

lol... here's hoping it fits! Didn't you like measure it out beforehand?

Oh good.. glad your totals are in line. Yay for that!

What's for lunch?

The pattern gives me the measurements beforehand, but I've found sometimes that it still doesn't turn out as expected. This should be ok, though, because it's a wrap cardigan, so it's got a little more room for error.

Yes! I was happy to get that part of my work day out of the way.

Lunch was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some leftover green beans, and some leftover roasted potatoes. (like, half portions of leftover side dish portions). It was great because I didn't have to spend any money buying lunch today! YAY!

Ahhhh... gotcha. I know nothing about knitting/sewing. I'm a moron about that. :-)

lol... not spending money on lunch is good. And that's... quite the combination. I had a PB&J sammich for breakfast. So yummy.

It's alright! Sewing is much easier in terms of getting correct fit, because you do measure out the pattern in advance, so you can actually see how it's going to fit. But with knitting, you are creating the fabric, and sometimes despite the promises of the authors, you do not end up with the promised amount.

It is good. I'm trying to spend less money, but it's tough. Maybe not the most conventional combination, but it was all yummy and easy to pack up this morning before I ran out the door. :)

Ahhhhhhh.... I see the differences now. :-)

lol... yummy and easy to pack up is a good thing, for sure. Convenience is always a good thing.

The rhg: educatin' you since 1980.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say *always* a good thing--but it has its moments.

You have definitely broadened my horizons today.

lol... oh fine, be all semantical on me. :-p

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
*tips hat* My pleasure.

Yeah, can't help it. I've got an English degree and an interest in Linguistics. I'm all about the semantics, or something.

Well aren't you just a smartypants. :-)

Shucks... I'm all fresh out of peanut butter...

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Peanut butter is something one should never run out of in civilized society. Sheeesh.

I KNOW, right? Normally I have about FOUR in the house (two crunchy, two creamy)... how did I get this slack???
