Green Room - Week 7 - Day 1

The polls are CLOSE. Your vote may be the difference between keeping in one of your favorites, or even someone that you see a greater potential in. Which means if you haven't cast it yet, it's time!

A few votes in any direction, especially this month, is going to make a huge difference.

There's still a lot of entries, and not everyone gets a chance to see them all - Who isn't, in your opinion, getting the love they deserve?

***

How are you doing today? Smiling like sunshine or crying like Tebow?

come over...it has already started falling here and I am dreading what it will look like at 5 when I leave. One of these days I really should attempt sking. I have never...and I live like 5 minutes away from a place called Buckhill which is this ski slope/hill (not sure what exactly you want to call it) in the middle of Burnsville.

Nah...I don't have windows in ol cube of doom & gloom. I have to wonder by attorneys offices to see what the outside world looks like. So I get a few seconds here and there and then the back the cube I go.

It's been falling outside my big picture window all morning... it IS quite lovely... the soft, gentle, silent type of fall. The bird is fascinated.

Have you run out to make snow angels yet?

Actually, it stopped being so pretty once I was out in it and it was cutting me to the bone with cold and damp, and I got really grumpy when my 4.8 mile round trip took TWO FRICKGEN HOURS.... The first real snow of the year, people who've been here all their lives still completely forget how to drive like they've never seen the stuff before. And, the annoying thing with the snow here sometimes is, once it starts, it JUST WON'T STOP. I hear we're supposed to have a few feet by the end of the day tomorrow.

You've never been to Buck Hill? That was one of the first things we did when we got here. My folks wanted to make sure I really got the "Minnesota" experience since I'd drug my heels so bad about moving up here (I was 13, I was coming from FLORIDA, and I'd never lived anywhere in my life longer than 5 years, and was finally JUST starting to feel settled... it was hard to get excited about such a drastic relocation). They'd bought me ice skates that year for Christmas to try to bribe me into being happy we were moving.

Never...drive by it all the time though. I actually have never skied. My parents weren't much for winter growing up....so we never really got out and did anything. Needless to say when it comes to things like skating I fail miserably at. Last time I tried that I fractured my tail bone, so needless to say the idea of giving sking a try scares me.
