Green Room - Week 4 - Day 2

Happy Armsitice Day!

(The US has a different focus altogether on it, - Veterans Day - so happy that too!)

Happy Remembrance Day to those weirdo foreigners to the north.

There is also a run off between [livejournal.com profile] danialtravieso and [livejournal.com profile] marjory happening

http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/268414.html

While over there, you have the chance to say goodbye to the latest group of contestants leaving us.

Not enough going on? How about "99,941 comments received" as of this moment. What does that mean? It means someone today is going to be the one to claim the 100,000th comment. Who will it end up being? Unlike 'FIRST'! that's something that is going to only come around once!

100,000 have been achieved! Congratulations to all of us. It's one of those ticks on the odometer! It appears that this one was claimed by [livejournal.com profile] chalkolitlover!! (or maybe [livejournal.com profile] kittenboo - heh, you guys can fight it out!)

Here's to 100,000 more!

Still not enough? Then I'll break character a bit and point you toward a couple cool "fan series" that I've recently discovered:
Love the Joker? Who doesn't? Our own season 1 winner [livejournal.com profile] tinhuviel actually does some promotional work with this guy: http://www.youtube.com/TheJokerBlogs or thejokerblogs.com

There is also a fan made "Dr Horrible prequel" that was released last night: http://www.horribleturn.com/watch/

Speaking of fan efforts, it's always worth a visit to see what is going on over at www.ljidol.info!

All of that should be enough to suck that last bit of free time away today!! But just in case - What else have you got going on?

I love our kitten. She really is super sweet. She gets in spurts where she wants to be with you all the time, and she gets in spurts where she wants nothing to do with you (pretty typical of cats in general, really). I'm just worried she'll be lonely because she'll have no one there with her. At least if she goes with us to my in-laws she'll have us and his parents. The cat, I think, will come inside only when necessary for survival.

Heheh typical inside-outside cat. XD Especially when there's "PEOPLE AROUND OMG KEEP THEM AWAYYYYY!!!!! D:"

Kitten won't be stuck in a side room the entire time? Meaning, you're out in the main areas being social and kitten's resolved to mewing at the door for hours? I'm sure she'd be fine with the other people, eventually, but would she have to stay in a corner because the door is opening/closing to them wild wild outdoors too often?

[identity profile] chalkolitlover.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 02:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, we'd probably just put her up in the side room at night and when the family is over for Thanksgiving. Other than that, she'd probably be out looking for attention or trying to get into trouble.

Well, sounds like a good plan to me, then! :D I thought in-law cat was indoor cat, and they're usually a lot more territorial even if they are pretty easygoing with humans. At least that's what I've seen with them...

Of course indoor cats gets used to the new cat a lot faster than outdoor cat because they're forced to be together more. XD

He's indoor/outdoor, so if he doesn't like it he'd probably hang out outside until he's happy again. My inlaws have left him out for a week on his own when they've traveled, so he can handle himself if needed. I just don't know if it's fair to him to displace him like that.

[identity profile] sra33.livejournal.com 2009-11-11 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Naw, it's fine. He'll either hang out inside or he'll just skirt around the house. An older cat is probably more than used to it. XD
