Green Room - Week 12 - Day 2

Good morning.

So how are you guys doing?

What do you have planned for today?

Happy Birthday to our old friend [livejournal.com profile] desert_rose and our new friend [livejournal.com profile] pawpower4me!

My husband's reply was exactly the same when I asked him!

Since [livejournal.com profile] baxaphobia requested a "full report" of my experiences in New York City this past weekend, I'm sharing links to what I've written about it. Here's part one: http://alycewilson.livejournal.com/97058.html

It's going to take me a couple days to write about everything, since we saw and did a lot!

My plans this morning was to get sick--hormones.

This aternoon, cleaned out my room in preparation for steam cleaning and packing my bags for the adventures of house-sitting for 2 1/2 weeks at my sister's house. I will be documenting this adventure in my LJ.

Tonight is potluck and fun night for the bowling league I am a part of.

Keep the snow to yourself... I don't need it here! LOL

Where are you located that brought on an Earthquake?

[identity profile] jenandbronze.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
You know, I find writing happy stories easier than sad ones... but it seems I brought a lot of smiles in my Idol entry... it is a great happy story I love sharing.

Lund, Sweden. I don't know that earthquake is the proper term, or if there's an alternate term for it or something (there are two words in Swedish), but we had a 4.7 quake here centered on Ystad.

Possibly the biggest one in a hundred years, they say.

Yep, earthquake is the correct term if the Richter scale was 4.7. Glad it wasn't any worse than that.

Thanks so much for remembering that I wanted to read about your trip! I just finished reading and I felt like I was right along with you! Now I need to go to NY!!!!! I haven't been in a few years. The last time we went, Bruno got very sick so we ended up spending a lot of time in the public library until our train left. Sigh.

[identity profile] alycewilson.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
We also made our way to the public library, a bit later in the day. I'll write about that, too. Probably in the next segment. It's the first time I've been there in a long while, and I had a great time. We're hoping to go back again next spring or summer, and my husband wants to go and do a culinary tour, too.

[identity profile] baxaphobia.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Oh a culinary tour! Bruno would absolutely love to do that!

[identity profile] alycewilson.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
This wouldn't be an official tour, but rather something my New York friend would put together. As she put it, "We could eat our way across the city."

Sounds like a good plan to me! Food and friends. What more can you ask for?
