Green Room - Week 12 - Day 2

Good morning.

So how are you guys doing?

What do you have planned for today?

***

Happy Birthday to our old friend [livejournal.com profile] desert_rose and our new friend [livejournal.com profile] pawpower4me!

Yes please! I want a white Christmas!

Can you ship some over, in time for next Thursday? :-)

No no, I live in The Ultimate Time. The time SO good (because I live in it), that only a select number of people get to live in it!

It's currently 890786 AM here. But ssshhh, don't tell anyone!

I understand though, poor [livejournal.com profile] kithan. I hope she feels better soon =/ Nobody else stepping up to help this year?

Good afternoon everyone!

I had training this morning--mandated training from our parent company for customer service training. The good news is I finally got to see the surveys that go out to our clients after their closings and I have probably been doing about 99% of everything the way I was supposed to anyway. Hey! That's good!

Anyway, the rest of the day is supposed to be wet, rainy, and maybe icy, so I'm staying home where it is warm and dry.

Thank you!

Timezone changes are a pain, but it means my birthday can go for two days not one.... sort of.... :-)

It's good to be back!

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, kinda like that - only LJ is less painful!!

[identity profile] desert-rose.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you very much!

Curious now- what was the typo? :-)

It's chilly out! Things have a way of...umm, you know ;)

[identity profile] xo-kizzy-xo.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I won't tell :)

[identity profile] xo-kizzy-xo.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
:puts out a bowl of salsa and some taco chips:

Tequila + salsa = 2 vegetable servings!

:D

Ew, I didn't heard about the sleet and freezing rain. We're supposedly getting 1-2" of snow overnight, but honestly it doesn't feel cold enough out right now for snow.

[identity profile] xo-kizzy-xo.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
OK, as soon as I finish my tea I'm off to Borders. Got a 30% off coupon in my e-mail. Thankfully both my Secret Santa and SO's are bookworms and have requested particular titles. SO's niece's birthday is this Saturday, she's also a bookworm, so we're getting her a gift card.

Yay for doing shopping all in one place!

Then to Wally World for the more mundane things in life.

Then back here. Last night I found an intriguing recipe for pork chops over at All Recipes that calls for caramelized apples and onions. We seldom eat pork, but it's on sale at Current Employer this week, so I figured why not?

[identity profile] pinkslit.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, I figure if you're gonna drink in the mid-day, do it on an empty stomach. I'll hit the brie and crackers before I pass out around 4 or so.

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I understand. I wish I had more time ... j/k haha

hopefully it will sort itself out :)

(if you read articles about a sleep-deprived lunatic who went on a killing spree ... LOL)

[identity profile] baxaphobia.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay for doing such an awesome job!

[identity profile] xo-kizzy-xo.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
YAY!!!

Unfortunately everyone at Current Employer had to take their vacations before Thanksgiving week. which is understandable. Makes it difficult for the people who have school-aged kids, though, especially at this time of year.

The thing with elevated blood pressure is that I feel fine - after the initial shock that it was elevated, that is (which was a huge bummer last week). It's just that no matter how I *feel* I'm supposed to take it easy and try not to over stimulate myself which is extremely hard for me because I'm very sensitive to stuff so... eh.

I feel really good, though. Having the doctor tell me such things is a great excuse to be totally pampered by the hubby. I haven't used it as an excuse ... too much ;).

My orthodontist appointment was canceled due to the "snow". After living in Delaware, this Arkansas snow is nothing to me. But then, States that historically get a lot of snow have a lot more machines to help clear the roads and such while Arkansas doesn't. Some people used to really make fun of the snow scare in North West Arkansas (I'm in Central), but that really *was* scary. With no machines to clear the roads, the hills were extremely dangerous.

[identity profile] brightflashes.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
heh - anything's possible. By the way I keep meaning to tell you this. If this doesn't make you giggle, I don't know what will - see comments (http://agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com/527879.html).

[identity profile] kittenboo.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
so umm is it ok if i don't do happy and fun for my entry, lol. i don't really think i have it in me this week. i just wrote something rather dark but i'm not sure if i am going to use it yet.

[identity profile] spydielives.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Spydie needs FIVE servings today.

Snow Puppies

[identity profile] spydielives.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Funny you should ask that.

My son has this nifty idea to replace "snow flakes" with "snow puppies."

The theory is that we would not have to shovel them, they would float gently to the ground, then hop up on their little legs and run away, preventing the need for salt, sand, etc.

Everyone could have a snow puppy all winter long. And they could sleep in the freezer, to come out for a quick pick-me-up in the middle of a hot summer day.

[My son... takes after me... can you tell?]

[identity profile] spydielives.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone would have to be crazy to work for you.

[identity profile] spydielives.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh Noes!!

But now that I have seen that, does that mean that this is the end of you?

We can't have that!!
