I really like fudge, but it has to be made a certain way (I have no idea what that certain way is) in order for me to really enjoy it. As a general rule, I dislike junk food and candy and cake... Not ice cream, though. : )

The thing with elevated blood pressure is that I feel fine - after the initial shock that it was elevated, that is (which was a huge bummer last week). It's just that no matter how I *feel* I'm supposed to take it easy and try not to over stimulate myself which is extremely hard for me because I'm very sensitive to stuff so... eh.

I feel really good, though. Having the doctor tell me such things is a great excuse to be totally pampered by the hubby. I haven't used it as an excuse ... too much ;).

Meh, went so-so. We're making progress, though, so that's something at least. At least this time I knew where I was all the time, I just sort of coward out on an action I should have taken...

Bleh. I need to work on that, so seriously bad because if I don't I'm not going to be able to get any-damn-where. I should learn that second guessing yourself is never a good look. :(

Other than that, not much. Cleaning the bathroom, maybe, putting away clothes, making sure I can get things out in time for Christmas.

Today is my last full day at the holiday temp gig. After work I will go to my yoga class ('yes I will, even in the rain' she says, convincing herself), write my entry, play with kitties, and get to bed as early as possible.

Everything holiday that needs to be mailed I managed to finish yesterday. Woot! Living halfway across the country from family is a good motivator.

Food-wise, I am annoyed this morning because I went to buy a corn muffin at the bagel shop downstairs from my workplace, and when I asked to have the muffin toasted and buttered, they charged me 35 cents extra for the butter. Then when I said I didn't want a *side* of butter, I just wanted a small amount of butter on the muffin, they scowled and told me, yes, that cost 35 cents, and then as payment for my apparent insolence I found when I unwrapped my muffin that there was no butter on it. Or so I'd thought. Having eaten three-quarters of it I found a tiny little button of butter, about the size and depth of a dime. I am not usually a paranoid sort of a person, but I am pretty sure this was meant to mock me.

So if anyone wants to bring actually *buttered* muffins to the Green Room today... ::bigeyes::

It's overcast and gray here in southern NE, but our yucky weather isn't starting until late tonight. Then it's the winter trifecta - snow, sleet, & freezing rain! I'm already thinking there will at least be a delayed opening for schools, and my husband is going to work from home.

In the meantime, I'm making calls for various appointments, updating my to-do list, and puttering around the house. This is my first quiet moment, as Mr Bear was bouncing around all morning :-P Ah, blessed silence!

I had training this morning--mandated training from our parent company for customer service training. The good news is I finally got to see the surveys that go out to our clients after their closings and I have probably been doing about 99% of everything the way I was supposed to anyway. Hey! That's good!

Anyway, the rest of the day is supposed to be wet, rainy, and maybe icy, so I'm staying home where it is warm and dry.

OK, as soon as I finish my tea I'm off to Borders. Got a 30% off coupon in my e-mail. Thankfully both my Secret Santa and SO's are bookworms and have requested particular titles. SO's niece's birthday is this Saturday, she's also a bookworm, so we're getting her a gift card.

Yay for doing shopping all in one place!

Then to Wally World for the more mundane things in life.

Then back here. Last night I found an intriguing recipe for pork chops over at All Recipes that calls for caramelized apples and onions. We seldom eat pork, but it's on sale at Current Employer this week, so I figured why not?

My orthodontist appointment was canceled due to the "snow". After living in Delaware, this Arkansas snow is nothing to me. But then, States that historically get a lot of snow have a lot more machines to help clear the roads and such while Arkansas doesn't. Some people used to really make fun of the snow scare in North West Arkansas (I'm in Central), but that really *was* scary. With no machines to clear the roads, the hills were extremely dangerous.

The last time we went, Bruno got very sick so we ended up spending a lot of time in the public library until our train left. Sigh.

My plans this morning was to get sick--hormones.

This aternoon, cleaned out my room in preparation for steam cleaning and packing my bags for the adventures of house-sitting for 2 1/2 weeks at my sister's house. I will be documenting this adventure in my LJ.

Tonight is potluck and fun night for the bowling league I am a part of.
