Silly me. I thought the "free week" merely meant there was to be no voting on entries, not that no entry was required.

I'm at home this morning getting everything from the a/c heating unit fixed to a plumber currently stopping up a sink leak. When they repair folks all pick up their tools of trade and leave I'll clean up and head into work.

My weekend was nice. If anything it was too low-key - by Saturday as we hung out and chatted I was thinking of things I could have been doing at home.

This week should (finally) be busy, busy at work. I can't decide if I want overtime or not this week, on the one hand cash, but on the other hand I have to have shopping for the family done by the 14th if I want them to have it on time.

My poor daddy was so worried when he met Greg's family. He kept asking me if he did a good job or not hehe. : ) I remember how exciting it was for them to meet for the first time even though there was tension between me and my then to-be mother in law.

I'm so sorry about your sinus infection! Those headaches from them are so miserable. : ( Hope you get that cleared up, soon. Have you ever tried a neti pot? They look absolutely gross and uncomfortable, but they're actually very soothing and help me when I get a sinus infection or bad allergies. If you do use one, let me know what you think.

The break was perfect for me, as I'd already used my "Bye" but would have really struggled to get anything in on time due to my crazy shifts last week. Mind you, I have more crazy shifts this week as well, but I'll just have to scrape by!

Although, I'm not moaning about the crazy shifts too much - I did get to deliver two new little people into this world during them! Here's hoping I can welcome some more this week.

As for getting by this week...we have to get the house ready to put up the Christmas tree, hopefully this weekend. We'll see if that works out. We usually have a tree-trimming party (read: bribe our friends into coming over and decorating our tree in exchange for cider and goodies, hehe), but I don't know if we'll be doing it this year or just putting it up ourselves.

My day was just ... crap... it was okay, but could have been better... my eyes are a bit shot, the sun really burned my eyes today, so ... depressed when I go through social events and realize how bad my hearing is, etc...
