Green Room - Week 6 - Day 3

The new tribes have been created thanks to our four tribe representatives, just a couple more days before your fates are sealed you see them!

Which means your entries are going to what keeps you alive in your new group! Is it up to snuff to compete? Is it in yet? If not - then get to work!

If it is though - have you been reading any of the other entries yet? http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/193255.html

Last week we ended up with a shocking run off between two people no one thought were in danger. That just goes to show how you never know how things are going to be received *and* the importance of word of mouth. If you see something you like, *mention it to other people*. It's how you keep good entries from falling under people's radar!

****

So how are things going this week anyway?

Everyone ready for the next game in the World Series? Oops!*g* Maybe not!

I should be running for the bus soon. So who will be "first"? Who will be "second"? And who, in the end, will be the next LJ Idol????

I've read thirty-something entries this week so far. Goooo me!

This week: Mad dash to get ready for NaNo.

If I am first AND second, do I get to be the next LJ Idol???

Edit: First and third. Damn, missed it by that much.

This week...could always get better....

But I *did* turn in my entry earlier than usual.

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
Darnit, I could've maybe been first if I hadn't been busy putting a few touch-ups on my entry for this week, sitting out here on the lanai in Hawaii...

Ah well... c'est la vie!

Nowhere near first, as usual. ;)

Morning...
Started reading some entries yesterday. Very good ones out there.

People are really getting into the subject.
Good morning Greenies.

8th comment, but I am still in the running to the the next LJ idol.

First? ;)

[identity profile] jfargo.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I started to write a comment, then realized that I tend to write too many negative things, so I erased it. Instead, let me just say that it's going to be a wonderful, if busy, day.

43 degrees here, this morning, but we're looking at it getting over 50, which will be nice. How is it wherever you are?

[identity profile] 8673.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
No way. I managed to make it to the green room before fifty comments? Wow.

Today the baking madness begins. This afternoon, I pick up the supplies for two as of yet unknown cookies and felting yarn. I get to play with yarn while cookies bake. It's going to be a good day.

[identity profile] thenodrin.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Last night I learned that a nice way to warm (and scent) the house is to bake something. I made apricot-granola bars to take to work for breakfast over the next four days.

Good morning!

It's quite cold and blustery here -- as in "severe wind advisory" until tomorrow, possibly Friday :brr:

I've got the night shift this week. I came home, got changed, ate something, walked the dogs, then checked my e-mail and ran around here on LJ.

Then I fell asleep. Sitting at the computer. My husband had to wake me. Oy. I never got to read anything!

So far this week's entry = epic fail. Trying again tonight, if I have some brain cells left after working late. I've only read ten or twelve so far but I've loved them all. Lots more to go- it's going to be quite a week, amazing stories everyone's telling!

I've started knitting scarves for [livejournal.com profile] holiday_wishes because last year lots of people wanted them but I didn't know how to knit. Now I do! At least well enough for scarves. Also the cookie planning has begun. And I have SO much reading to do!

But for now- the paycheck job beckons- *grabs coffee and heads back to work*

*sneaks in and heads for the food* rassing frassing ceo visiting.. *growls and spits in his coffee*

I've read over half of the entries and I have to say I am very impressed by many...and actually blown away by some! This topic has inspired some brilliant entries. Way to go, Gary, for picking it, and awesome job, fellow contestants, on putting your own unique spin on an inherently fun topic!

Hahahaha.

I'm in a good mood, because I have: 1) survived the plague that kicked me while I was down last week; 2) concluded the trial that had me down last week; and 3) made homemade soup last night.

So, go me! Also, I know what I'm going to write for this entry and have time to do it tonight. :D

Happy Hump Day. :)

Demographics geek... can't help it.

[identity profile] lilmissmagic71.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi all... something got me thinking about our demographic in this crazy, hazy contest... I know last season we all put up a face shot and said howdy from wherever we were... but because some intros were more artsy than informative (and hey, I like that... no worries)... so those who don't mind... nothing too specific is asked for, just the general... would you post here with your Nationality, Gender, Region and Age Range?

I'm an American woman, in the South (Tennessee), in my late thirties (icon is me last year)

[identity profile] baxaphobia.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi all!

Staff meeting in about a half hour. Not going to be a pretty one. So I need good thoughts. Agency is getting severe budget cuts. Trying to keep positive but it's really hard right now.

[identity profile] firesign10.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm coming off a weekend (Sat-Mon) migraine, so this week has been massively unproductive. I am now way behind on life in general. However, today is a lot better and it's sunny (as opposed to yesterday's gray and rainy weather) so I feel rather cheerful ATM! Here's hoping I plow through some of the chaos that is my house, AND get my Idol entry written! (I just got my idea last night :-P)

Here, have some:

*pumpkin mini muffins
*cranberry Thomas' english muffins
*butter
*coffee (milk, sugar, and splenda available)
*turkey bacon

So how are things going this week anyway?

Busy, cold, and husband's birthday on Sunday. But mostly just reading (both lj idol entries and books).

[identity profile] lordrexfear.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
So here we are... I am here again. No one cares though. I have yet to write my entry. Bueller?

It is rainy snowy outside in NYC today. It is windy and cold. I am okay, I am at work. I need to go to men's room. I think I'll bring my book with me. (Bret Hart's autobio)

[identity profile] norda.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Up early for me, but late for the Green Room.

Job interview at 3pm, for the walking-distance job.

All the leaves are brown and the sky is gray.

[identity profile] fala-writes.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
There are so many entries already... and I know everyone isn't done. I'm trying to keep up, but geebas that's a lot of words. *eyes cross*

It's currenly below 50 here, and probably 55 in my office. I should be working, I really should. Lifting big plans helps warm me up, and there's so much to do before a big project arrives and the panic starts. Instead, I played the home game yesterday (http://fala-writes.livejournal.com/3990.html). And BS'd my way through the work day. And am tending that way today...

Work! Must work! Augh! *runs screaming from the Green Room*

[identity profile] kajel.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Morning. I didn't sleep well last night. Must remember, baby doesn't like barbecue sauce. It doesn't matter how good those ribs were, we will not be eating them again.

Hope you all have a good day!
