VOTE! Week 17

A few words from [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm:
You know the drill by now.

Here are the entries. You can clicky as many as you want – and believe me, your clicking finger is going to get tired this week. Vote for your favorites to make sure that they stay in to amaze you for another week.

There IS a twist this week. You have one hour less than usual!!

Ok, so it’s less "a twist" and more Daylight Savings Time! But still, a twist!*g*

Voting starts now and will end on Monday March 10th at 1pm EST. At that point we will add the vote totals of the teams together, and figure out which TWO TEAMS will be heading to, as someone called it earlier today, "That Home Game in the Sky".

[livejournal.com profile] mme_furiosa missed the deadline. However, there is still hope for her.

As previously stated, if your partner does not turn in an entry for the week, it’s all on you.

In this case, that means [livejournal.com profile] angstzeit will be solely responsible for keeping their heads above water, and in the game. If he, on his own, can get enough votes to compete against the teams of two, they have a shot. If not, then the travels have caught up to them both, and their adventure here at Idol will come to a close.

Tech Support: Sorry for the delay. Work is making me work! Quite rude. I remembered to open the poll up to everyone this week, so yay me! :-)

I thought I remembered you referring to yourself as Kate once, but I couldn't remember. My aunt, Kathryn, HATES being called Kate.

I go by Kate. Everyone knows me as Kate. The only time anyone refers to me as Kathryn is when I have to "lay down the law" at work, or if it's something legal or medical that requires my legal name.

I set the LJ up as kathrynrose eversolong ago because I always figured that would be my pen name if I ever finish writing anything and get it published.

So yeah, Kate is preferred. What I cannot abide is Katie. Woe to the person who decides to call me Katie. That person instantly meets Kathryn. :)

There I go being scary again. :P

I think it's because it's past my bedtime.

Good night!

*tries to make a mental note*

I am horrible with names... somewhere around here there is a woman who calls herself "Michelle"

I swear, she looks JUST like me!

I completely suck at names. In fact, that was the subject of my Home Game introduction.

I am likely to refer to you as Spydie most of the time. Is that cool?

Everyone does.

"Amy" is my real name... "Michelle" is my alter-ego.

Doh!

And now I have proven my point!

The scary part?

I am not a multiple... but I do think of her (Michelle) as a distinct person from me. It makes it easier to write about her exploits, some of the more difficult things she has gone through, and some of the stupider things she has done.

Plus, it makes writing about myself in the third person at least a little more...sane?

[ok, we all know I am not really completely sane, well, *I* am, but *she* isn't.]

for some reason I kept reading your lj name as something like "kath n rose". I don't know why it took me a while to twig on the full "kathryn" lurking in there. Anyway, that's my long winded way of saying I think it's actually a pretty cool name, since it sort of looks like it's saying "... and rose"

I'll shush now ;-)

Re: Team Results Spreadsheet

[identity profile] kathrynrose.livejournal.com 2008-03-08 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
No need to shush. :)

You've also reminded me of something I like less than "Katie." There's a woman at work, with whom I have to correspond periodically, who doesn't really know me. She insists on referring to me as "Kathy." I have NEVER been a Kathy. I correct her with every single email, and my signature line says Kate. At this point I don't know if she's just completely oblivious, or if she's secretly evil. :)
