The wheel has claimed its first victim.
Goodbye to
vik_thor
At this point, he is our Francesca!
Losing someone is always difficult, and the longer we go, the more difficult it becomes. The one positive this time around is that the wheel is fickle and there is no telling when it will allow people to return.
Thank you for coming out, and I hope we will continue to see you around to root for your favorites!

And in other news, I have no idea what the Francesca reference even means. I'm really not a video-game player.
*LAUGHS*
At least this season, I did not get the lowest votes on both of the 1st two weeks.
(I remembered that I had been voted out Week 2, but looking back, I had posted my entry to Week 1, after the cutoff time. Gary had marked me as a BYE for week 1, (with no entry linked) He went in to link my post (still as a bye, due to late entry)... and well, I will link to the official Week 1 for 2024 vote: https://therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1142509.html
Did get voted off officially in Week 2, because I was feeling sick (COVID), and didn't get around to voting in that poll... (Lost by 1 vote... )
Dunno if there was no idol in 2023, or if it was still on LiveJournal?
Can't find earlier votes (2022, week 5 I was already in the home game). (after my week 4 entry being a review of _The Wrath of Trees_ by Bard Bloom (Sythyry from LiveJournal.) I have some posts from earlier, but as far as I can see, when I have played, I don't think I have made it past week 4 at the latest...
I do feel in a better place (mentally) than last year. I think I will be sticking around voting and playing the Home Game much longer this time, and possibly get to be Cannon Fodder for y'all a couple more times at least...
Question: is me being Francesca a reference to Survivor TV show?
oh good

thank you! Re: *LAUGHS*
i.e. I tend to view my writing as slightly above average most of the time. In the 'American School Grading' system, I view most of my writing as C+ to B-. B on good days.
It is definitely a very tough competition, but fun!
And that reminds me, I want to be sure to put a link to the vote in my journal... I realized when I was doing the post about previous years, I had trouble finding the votes...

I am hoping I will be staying. (I have actually written more in June than I have in quite awhile.) The previous few seasons, I didn't interact much and just generally forgot to come back after a couple weeks or so.

My company is under an Interim CEO, we presume he will be named permanent CEO soon. (if the board / stockholders don't confirm him, ... NO idea what will happen...)
They did a Reduction in Force of about 6% of the company nationwide. Mostly in the Sales and Sales support. Our office lost 2 ppl.. We were 4 sales regions, we are now 3.
BLEAGH...
