Mine is gas and it has the self-cleaning cycle. :) This is how I know it's possible for the gas ones to have it!

From what I understand, the material used in an electric oven is frequently incapable of withstanding the high temps of the cleaning cycle. Yes, I researched this. Mostly because my brother bake!failed and nearly set my house on fire, one night. =p
