Green Room Part 2 - Week 0

Good afternoon.

I was going to post earlier today, but I wanted a chance to catch up with most of the entries first.

Wow, there is some talent out there. This season is going to be tough!

Not to mention HUGE!! Has all of LJ signed up for this season yet?*g* Or are the rest waiting until Friday.

Don't forget to post your Topic 0 posts at: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/69885.html

and most important, remember to go there to READ other people's posts. Like I said, there are some really great ones. Some have been mentioned by other people, and a lot of them haven't yet (there are some REAL surprises for me for people that I already have my eye on who *haven't* gotten more attention...)

and sign up to play this season:

If you have any questions, be sure to check out the FAQ: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/67483.html

I'm asking "veterans" to step up and help some of the "newbies" figure things out. The smoother the process is now, the more fun it will be once we officially get started!

Have a great day!

I've really enjoyed the intros, too. There are some really good ones!

And yet it's amazing how many people are from my home state. PA has a lot of entrants this season!

I agree with this 102.32456%. It has been good to see what people have to say, and also to see their expectations.

second-guessing...I think that is why mine got to be so long. I just kept writing, deleting, rewriting and finally said I just need to lay it all out and see what happens.

I still wonder as I read each entry if I talked to much in general, if I talked about totally pointless things, etc.

We all wonder that, even when we are seasoned pros *coughcough*

My first "introduction" post sucked so much, I think I might unfilter it so newbies can read it.

This is my second season.

I had to be nudged quite a bit.

And seriously... my intro for my first season was so dramatic! (http://spydielives.livejournal.com/1386891.html)

(But I got better...)

Nudged = forced to eat dirt

A little drama never hurt anyone. :) I think it's wonderful.

*blushes* thank you.

Needs to be in FAQ if not already there

FAQ: I know how to add just a link to my entry. How do I create a titled link?

ANS: Suppose your entry is http://ankita-1.livejournal.com/153652.html. Suppose you wanted to title your entry "The mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the earth."

<a href="http://ankita-1.livejournal.com/153652.html">The mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the earth.</a>

Should give you a result like this:

The mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the earth. (http://ankita-1.livejournal.com/153652.html)

Thank you, that means a lot.

Aw, it is scary but we will definitely be brave little soldiers!
I haven't had time to write mine or read any yet! I can't wait to get started though.

it is hard when you're use to writing friends only posts, which I am. it is a weird yet freeing experience to hit that submit button and not have the little lock in the corner of your post.

I say, don't change anything, be yourself, and don't worry about what people will think or who will read it.
