It took me a long time before I found a doctor who listened to my issues and decided they needed to do something about it. I had other issues along with the vertigo in graduate school and it had consequences. I missed a lot of classes. Finally, I found a doctor who actually suspected MS or maybe even a brain tumor (though she was more concerned with the MS) and sent me off for an MRI. That came back fine, but they saw the Chiari. And they diagnosed with me a vitamin deficiency, which I am still not sure was the actual cause.

I would insist on seeing if it can be treated if it's something that causes you issues in your life. I can have surgery if my Chiari causes me any more problems, though it's rather extreme so if possible, I am not going to do it. It's nice to know I do have options and that I do have something that likely won't kill me.

But perhaps in your case, there is something they could do. If it's an inner ear issue, there are medicines and whatnot that can help you. Just ignoring it because they can't find a solution sucks.

I know I used to wish for House to be a real doctor because I stumped everyone else I went to!

Have a good day at work!
