Yeah, I think at this point, it's a matter of finding the right doctor who agrees that an MRI is a good idea and will prescribe it (and maybe the cost has gone down since that last doc--it's been about ten years). Of course, first I have to find a regular doctor, since I've only had insurance since January.
Even without the driving risk, it's getting to be a quality of life issue. I may not die from a dizzy spell, but it does adversely affect a lot of my activities. Why not find out if it's something that can actually be treated?
(And it's so nice to have some support from someone who's gone through something similar. My grandmother also has vertigo, but she has long since taken up the mantle of "there's nothing to be done." So thank you for that. :D And now I gotta run to work!)
