Work Room - Week 14

Where's the Love, Work Room???

I have a feeling this is going to be another one of those topics where something just jumps out at you right away and drags you off with it, or where you will sit there for hours, cursing my name. Or at least a little longer than you normally spend on that daily routine.

What are some of the things that come into your brain when you hear that word? http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/528117.html What images? Where does it take you?

Also worth thinking about - how have you been doing the last couple of weeks of Idol? Have you been happy with the reception your entries have been getting? If not, have you been soliciting feedback on how to improve? Have you been giving other people the same kind of pointers?

it's your Work Room. Make the most out of it.

You just gave me an idea.

Look up the parasite linked to cats that make rats infatuated with them, leading to their death. It shows up in human brains too. Imagine what that could do...

I wonder if I could work the twitterpated parasite into an Emmeline story, like do something where she gets a crush on someone and thinks she's actually sick. "I can't think properly, and it's like there's a colony of particularly nasty bacteria fluttering about in my stomach. I hope they're not antibiotic resistant."

I think you very well could work it in and I like your Emmeline character a lot :D

But if you can't make it work there, you do write great fiction overall. I know you can come up with something, and it could always be fun to venture out into other stuff now and then. Whatever feels right to you :)

Speaking of venturing into other stuff, my brain suggested doing a multimedia entry (with pictures) about my GIANTmicrobes, because I can get the non-romantic version of "twitterpated" over those. With me, a GIGANTIC plush gonorrhea, which happens to be the perfect shape for cuddling, is more likely to get me twitterpated than any human.

I'm not sure if I would be able to do such a post or make it remotely coherent ("squee, fuzzy STIs!" isn't quite enough), but it WOULD be new territory.

I do like the idea of doing something with freaky love-parasites, maybe using an updated version of my male narrator character from "Inconceivable" week.

We shall see!

Fuzzy microbes sound interesting, lol.
