Funny you should mention entitlement. A co-worker really got under my skin today. I was angry, but now I'm just slightly apathetic. Anyway, we get "goodies" sent to us from clients this time of the year, and they are ALWAYS shared with the entire office. Today we received in some goodies from a client that this girl specifically works with. As usual, I opened it up and took it to the kitchen to share, but I thought I would be EXTRA nice by opening some of the cheese and sausage and cutting neat little pieces on a plate to get people started. The girl walked in and said, "Oh, is this from so-and-so?" I said, "Yes, is that someone you use? You should get first crack at it, then." Then she glared at me while stating, "Since he sent it to ME, yeah I think I should!" then she stormed out. I was dumbfounded. If I hadn't already been in a bad mood from something that happened earlier, I probably wouldn't have been as upset by it. But I can't stand being spoken to in that way, especially when I was trying to do something nice. So I've been stewing about it ever since.
