That's pretty much me, too. I find it much easier to be open online than IRL. I think because if people online see the real me and don't like what they see, it's a little easier to avoid and/or ignore them, you know? But I have been burned from putting too much of the wrong stuff online so I am now more cautious about what I share with whom, but I'd still prefer not to close off my life completely.
Hmm. I think it depends on what & how much is fictionalised. If all you've done is changed the names, I'd say nonfiction. If you've written it completely truthful without identifying information but labelled it as fiction... I'd say it's still nonfiction, but you're the only person who knows that, so everyone else is assuming fiction.
