That's about almost how I work. I try to think how non-fiction can fit the topic, but if I've got nothing, I'll try and think up a fiction idea. I actually had two non-fiction ideas for this week's topic, but someone suggested the week bin Laden was killed was probably not the week for me to write about my crazy conspiracy theory Aunt who forwards me many, many emails about how awful the US Government is right now. I rarely actually open these emails, but one I did look at said bin Laden actually died in December 2001 and this has all been a coverup! Maybe next week I can write about her instead. ;)
