I was having a conversation yesterday with a friend who wasn't all that familiar with Survivor as I was explaining something they mentioned that it "sounds like high school".

Which got me immediately thinking about every other time someone has said that something has been "just like high school".

It got me wondering - just what sort of high school did people go to that it was just like a reality show and/or being on the internet???? ;)

Is anything ever "Just like it was back in elementary school?" or "Man, this is just like Pre-K all over again!"??? Crayons everywhere man. I'm telling you, crayons everywhere. There are some stains on your soul that just don't wash out man!!!
They. Just. Won't. Wash. Out.

I figure that the people who had decent high school experiences probably *aren't on the internet* - they are the ones who were "popular" which is why the term (online) has such negative connotations at times. "People like it - it must suck" :)

Speaking of things that people like, but definitely don't suck - voting is still going on with this week's entries!!! http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/340937.html

Immunity will be announced LATE this evening btw. So if you are on the jury, remember to get your ballot in and if you aren't - stay tuned!!!

... gross.

They look like the boxelder bugs we get around here. They're annoying as all hell, come out in spring and linger until late fall; though thankfully don't get into hair much, just look gross hanging around the house because they completely infest the areas where there's boxelder trees

Unlike ants -where you have certain techniques to limit their numbers- you can't get rid of a boxelder bug except to kill it's food source (aka chop down the tree and burn the wood).

Ugh. For these you can pull them apart and they die, but there are literally hundreds of thousands of them and they invest the whole freaking state. I abhor them. Plus, if you're driving, by the time you get home, you'll have a dirty car, and you have to pretty much wash it right away because there is something in their bodies, some acid, that will take the paint off your car.

Oh shit. No way. That REALLY sucks. D:

I'm glad we don't get those guys in Michigan!!! We just have those boxelder bugs. They're everywhere and make your house look bad when they hang out, but that's about it. They go away, don't carry any diseases, don't really get into any of your food (since they only eat tree sap) and don't really fly much so they definitely don't get into the roadways.

I... appreciate Michigan... But I'd love to live somewhere with a more temperate climate. Somewhere by a mountain, generally. And somewhere with a lower unemployment rate!

There was a magazine once that posted the girl to guy ratio of more popular cities. Listed the 5 with the highest guy ratio, along with the 5 with the highest girl ratio. How much you wanna bet they've switched now. XD

Also, I tend to think there's good men everywhere, it's more to do with the places you hang out than the location that you live. :)
