Green Room - Week 24 - Day 5

Good morning or afternoon if you're just waking up and reading this in the afternoon. Or evening if you're in some other part of the world other than right here next to me. Because I've looked and I didn't see you. Unless you've gotten much better at hiding. I suspect you have.

But you would stick out trying to crawl under that fooseball table. So don't even try it.

The entry is due tonight! Is YOURS in? http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/333370.html

Is your favorite's? Is your next favorite? What about their neighbor? Have they gotten in their entry yet? HAVE THEY??? Yeah, that's what I thought. Slackers. (possibly even agirlnamedslacker)

We Americans sometimes forget that folks in other locales may not know what our "Sunshine State" is, or that they may have one of their own!

I forget where I found the picture for the icon, but it's an orange inside the skin of a Granny Smith apple. I call it "Juicy Apple." =)

I think there aren't too many countries that actually have "states," at least. I mean, Canada has provinces. I have no idea what other countries name state sized areas of their own, though. I still like the idea of broadening the wold view where I can ;)

That's what it looked like to me! It reminds me of the apple sorbet my husband bought from a shop here in Malaysia which was basically half an apple, frozen, with most of the inside cut out (so the skin plus about half a cm of the fruit) and filled with sorbet. It was a bit hard for me to eat, though! The frozen fruit part in particular.

Here they're counties. I think XD

In the UK? I know it varies from country to country. We actually have states in Malaysia.

I'll bet the frozen apple part was more for prettiness than edibility!

Quite possibly! My husband still ate it, though.

OMG THAT SOUNDS DELICIOUS!!!!

P.S. I need an ice cream icon... hmmm...

[identity profile] comedychick.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it would've been if my teeth weren't being so sensitive XD

You mean, like this one? (I think this is my ice cream icon)

[identity profile] sra33.livejournal.com 2010-04-29 12:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmm... I think I might just steal that. :)

[identity profile] comedychick.livejournal.com 2010-04-29 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
haha. Well, as long as you credit the person who made it for me. Hopefully she won't mind.

[identity profile] sra33.livejournal.com 2010-04-29 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
you think she will? >.>

btw you have html fail on that one but I'm pretty sure her name is uselesslines. :) I credited.

[identity profile] comedychick.livejournal.com 2010-04-29 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably not. She made icons for other people often, with credit.

Ugh, I do? Eh. At least you worked it out! That was her graphics community she posted stuff to. She's too busy to post these days, but if you want to ask her directly if it's okay, you can probably still PM her as vaguelyclear. She still occasionally comments on my entries so I'm sure she'd see it :)

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to eat your icon!!

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's pretty tasty looking, isn't it? I've got quite a lot of food-based (or beverage based) icons, but this one is undoubtedly the healthiest to eat. ;)

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
It's blowing my mind with the awesome!

California's been called that too..but um...no..Florida grow more Oranges than California...

Once upon a time before they started building houses wherever they could...Orange Groves were everywhere in Southern California...SO I suspect at that at that time...when people were confused on which state is actually the "sunshine state"

You'll be hard pressed to see Orange Groves anymore...

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I know California also (still) grows a lot of oranges. I think their nickname is "The Golden State" though, probably for the '49 gold rush. =)

[identity profile] worldofcharlie.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
*nods*..yeah but there was a time when people got the terms confused... :)

Not as many Orange groves anymore...although weather conditions is probably more stable/consistent than in Florida lately...

just that land's a lot cheaper in Florida...
