http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/332509.html is where the action is. Well, that and at your Mom's house.

(hey, *someone* had to make the first "Your Mom" joke of the day!!)

So what is going on over on your end of the series of tubes that make up the internet?

What do you wish was going on?

[personal profile] shadowwolf13 2010-04-23 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I obviously do not listen when I'm told I have too much going on. I'm in the middle of knitting a blue scarf and crocheting a afghan for our bed an decided to start a baby blanket for my niece. I wanted a smaller crochet project to work on occasionally.

I'll probably never learn. :)

[identity profile] stormkitty.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Speaking as someone who not only has a blanket to do for a work project, but also has 2 afghans going, a cowl, a top, and about four other projects that have languished....no, you won't ever learn. ;-)
shadowwolf13: (Default)

[personal profile] shadowwolf13 2010-04-23 12:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm enjoying the crochet a lot more than the knitting. I can see where knitting has it's place ... but I get can see far more progress on each turn of the crochet. I feel like I'm getting more done at a time.

Tell me, have they found a cure for this addiction? I ask only because I hope to stay very, very far away from it. *Laugh*

[identity profile] stormkitty.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:38 pm (UTC)(link)
If they have, I've successfully avoided it so far. :) I even just packed a second project to take with me this weekend (even though I likely won't have time to work on the one I had packed) just so I could have some variety.
shadowwolf13: (Default)

[personal profile] shadowwolf13 2010-04-23 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it's like having different books to read, it depends on what you're in the mood to deal with. :)

I keep bugging Lynn to go to a yarn store but I think he's putting it off to keep from seeing my head go asplody with all the variety and choices. I've already got a list a mile long of things I want to make. :)

[identity profile] stormkitty.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm still like that when I go into the yarn shops. And I teach at one every week, so that gets rough. Plus she's a new shop, so there's something new each week. I just wander around touching everything and getting inspiration.
shadowwolf13: (Default)

[personal profile] shadowwolf13 2010-04-23 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh dear ... it's a black hole isn't it?

*giggle* Well, he has his gaming books and I have ... nearly everything else. *laugh*

I'm a very tactile person so I love to drift through the yarns and touch and feel. It's about the only place I encourage Miss Kid to touch as she feels like. :)

[identity profile] stormkitty.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It is a black hole. I keep my nicer yarns out where I can see them in an open cubbie system so I can be inspired. :)
shadowwolf13: (Default)

[personal profile] shadowwolf13 2010-04-23 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I like that idea! I'll have to keep it in mind when I get things a bit more organized in the new place. :)

[identity profile] crimsonplum.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I was just saying last night at my knitting group that I have a UFO (unfinished object) problem. Right now I'm working exclusively on crocheting a baby blanket for a cousin, but before that I started knitting a lace shawl for my mom...and let's not even talk about what I'm storing!

We were also discussing the benefits of crochet vs. knit. The conclusion at which I've arrived: both are equally easy to execute, but crochet is easier to *maintain* as you work on it, being that it's harder to cause disaster via unraveling!

What's funny is that I say constantly about our discretionary spending: he buys games and books, I buy yarn and makeup...it all evens out. :)
shadowwolf13: (Default)

[personal profile] shadowwolf13 2010-04-23 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
So far crochet is easier for me though I suspect that's simply because I did a little bit of it back when I was a little girl. Knitting I taught myself thanks to youtube. I've tried to learn how to hold the yarn differently to speed up but it doesn't seem to be working so far.

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
UFO's... lol... be careful, you don't want Mulder and Scully showing up on your doorstep. Scully should be showing up on *MY* doorstep, dammit! :-)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack. Hope you're able to get everything done... and maintain sanity!!!
shadowwolf13: (Default)

[personal profile] shadowwolf13 2010-04-23 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
On the plus side there's no time limit so no rush. :) It's just something to keep my hands busy while watching tv or during travel time. :)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahhhh... well no time limits is a good thing. :-)

[identity profile] pricelessone.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing much going on except my day was totally made yesterday, by seeing a video of this little girl (the neice of a friend). She has cancer and just had lung surgery 2 days ago. Yesterday, after the tubes came out, she did this hilarious Chicken Dance. Kids are so resilient.

Also? Avatar is kind of epic. (This is coming from a skeptic.)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
That is really awesome. Glad that the surgery went well and that she's already up anc Chicken Dancing. Too great.

[identity profile] stormkitty.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm drinking coffee and trying to wake up because I leave in 30 minutes to start the drive to Atlanta for a work thing. As much as I need to go and will hopefully get a lot out of this trip, I'd rather stay home.

Been having some great conversations with a special someone over email and text and really don't want to have to miss emailing time while traveling. :( But, it's nice to know that I'm going to be missed while I'm gone, even if it is for only two days.

Have a great weekend everyone! Not sure if I'll have time or access to answer comments, but good luck in the polls and I'll be back on Sunday night. Y'all have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do (which pretty much means y'all can do whatever you want). :)

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
My daughter loves your icon :)

[identity profile] stormkitty.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I think I got it from [livejournal.com profile] toocuteicons. She's great at doing all the cute ones. My default is from her, too.

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll have to check it out thanks :)

[identity profile] crimsonplum.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I know what your work thing is...and I'm envious! Have a great time in Hotlanta. Don't do anything *we* wouldn't do...but if you do, bring back video. :D

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope your trip goes well! I love Atlanta... such a fun city!!!

[identity profile] sra33.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I am still sore beyond sore but the lawn needs to be finished today or tomorrow.

Also, I haven't read any entries yet, I'm so sorry!!! I'll do it throughout the day today, I promise. :)

In other news, though, I'm all refreshed after sleeping a normal amount last night, so yay for that!!! :D

Off to do stuff...

[identity profile] puppetmaker40.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Well not traveling any where this weekend which will be a nice change of pace.

Cleaning up before the next project seems to be in my future. And I need to find an invite to a birthday party that Caroline was invited to to see if she can still go.

Oh and finishing up the girl scout cookie order.

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
It's one of those days where I can hardly move, it's 3 PM and I'm still in pyjama's and I have a ton of things to do, like one last text to translate before the weekend, pick up my meal cheques (bonus pay system here), go pick up a silicone pistol ... all that by foot by the way, fortunately I now have a good baby carrier and I can put my 2 1/2 year old on my back ;)

I wish ... I could just go to the park and lay in the sunshine. I could if I had done all the work this morning but my head was spinning too much =/ Ah well, it's the weekend soon! I plan on sewing! Perhaps finally continue Zelda:Spirit Tracks (I played it over Christmas break, then last weekend again, almost at the end, to tell you how much time I have ;))! Read! Scrapbook!

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Silicone pistol? Is that sort of like what we'd call a glue gun?

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably, but with silicone in it ;)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope you're able to move again freely very soon. :-)

Have a great weekend!

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I ended up getting where I wanted to be but they apparently already left for the day LOL.

You too =D

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn that Murphy's Law!!!

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah it got me a nice walk in the sunshine and my daughter's very first sunglasses so I guess all is well with the world :)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwwwwww... that's really sweet!!!

[identity profile] cobycaroline.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish our mortgage company would just cut us the loan! With the new regulations, it's making it next to impossible for my husband and I to make this house buying thing work.

It's really frustrating and stressful and ridiculous. For example, I had two deposits in January to my checking account that the mortgage folks couldn't verify so our application process got suspended. Egads, I just want this done.

[identity profile] tamaraland.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
We were two foreigners in a third country buying our house. In a country where a minimum of 20% has to be put down. There were too many incoming deposits to our accounts in the buildup to getting enough in there for a down payment so it set off a ton of money laundering signals. We even had to talk to an investigator from Interpol!

[identity profile] cobycaroline.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
While we have not yet raised the eyebrows of Interpol, this is kinda what's happening with us. We believe we have the capital necessary to move to closing, but the how and why for the mortgage company is not clear. To a certain extent, I kinda see their point. At the same time, though, I'm saying, "WTF, mate? Why does that matter?"

[identity profile] tamaraland.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I can see why we set off alarms as well, we deliberately sent less than 10,000 Swiss Francs in each transfer because the fee went up astronomically for transfers beyond that amount.

The funniest thing was they didn't really care about my money because it was so insignifcant, it was my husband's they were concerned about. Unfortunately, all the supporting documentation he had on the transfers and stock sales was in Finnish!

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Still in my pajamas as well. No plans other than grocery shopping and since my flatmates have some other errands to do first, I get to laze about here until they're ready to meet me at the supermarket. Nice!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
So... you're heading to the market in your jammies? Cuuuuute. :-p

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
:-P I do, however, collect the post in my jammies!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? And where is your post located? Mine has a drop slot into my living room so I collect it in my jammies regularly. :-)

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Very handy! We're in a block of flats and sometimes the post is dropped through our door, but more often it's upstairs in the main entrance. Usually safe to run up there wearing very little!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Note to self: wire camera to main entrance...

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Just as long as we split it 60/40 when you sell the tapes ;-)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Assuming that 60 is mine! Production fees, y'know. :-p

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
*in this case, resolves to wear giant furry bathrobe with hood from now on* ;-)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
*GASP* Not fair!

[identity profile] adoptedwriter.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 12:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, one daughter has an internship interview for summer work today at noon. (City Beat). The other one has her junior prom this evening. Everybody wish both my ladies well, please! AW

[identity profile] mstrobel.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww, hope it's a great day for both of them!

[identity profile] adoptedwriter.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks for the good wishes today and for the congrats yesterday! AW

[identity profile] adoptedwriter.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks for today's good wishes and yesterday' s congrats! AW

[identity profile] teaberryblue.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Good luck to both!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwwwwww... I hope both of your girls' days go exceedingly well!!!!

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I finished reading, commenting, and voting this morning. So I'm glad about that. It's getting more difficult to decide what to vote for... my criteria has to keep getting tougher as the writing improves.

Hooray for Friday! Not hooray for waking up with a sore throat. I think it's allergy stuffs.

Still deciding whether I'm going to go to Maine. Should probably see if I can find a place to crash for a night... I want to... but I also want to just sleep and relax and apply to a few jobs and whatall. And there's always next weekend.

I wish that I had the day off from work and was still slumbering. Also that I had a job in Maine.

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Since I was a kid and read Cynthia Voigt I wanted to go to Maine!

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Strangely, I'm not sure I've ever read her books, even though the name is familiar. And I say strangely, because there was a big push in the schools where I grew up to read Maine authors and learn about Maine things.

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I distinctly remember those, and one scene set in Maine I'm actually not sure stems from her books lol.

[identity profile] beautyofgrey.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey! You just took me back to childhood! I miss Cynthia Voigt!

[identity profile] agirlnamedluna.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I still have the first Tillerman book here on a shelf, I just picked it up but dayum it's so dusty ... it's 20 years old now!

[identity profile] supremegoddess1.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I loved those books when I was younger!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Hoooooooray for Friday indeed!!! Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a fantastic weekend, missy! ♥♥♥

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. I think I've settled on going up, because I really do want to get away for a couple of days. And, I want to make the effort to be a good friend and celebrate with the people I care about! Plus maybe it will give me a chance to talk with folks about job openings/roommates needed/whosiewhatsits.

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! Good on ya! Be safe and have a great time, missy! When do ya leave?

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

Well, seeing as I'm already totally insane. I was thinking of taking a 2am or 3:30am bus. Because, like I said, I am insane.

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh sweetie, that's not insane. That's seriously fu**ing nuts!!! :-p

[identity profile] kittenboo.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
finished reading and voting! now all that's left is poll watching!

[identity profile] teaberryblue.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Going to finish up reading and reccing today. I didn't get as much reading done yesterday as I would have liked. Oh well!

I was trying to decide who would get immunity if *I* was the jury! It's so hard. Even picking from the bottom five, there are so many people I don't want to see go home.

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I was just looking at the people currently near the bottom and was kind of shocked. A lot of people who I consistently vote for are in there. Madness.

[identity profile] teaberryblue.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I think we're at the point where 90% of the people left in the competition are people I consistently vote for. If I think about the fact that the first week, I voted for 40-something people, and just a few weeks ago, we had a contestant-only vote where we voted for thirty people, and now we only have 37 left, it's really getting tough.

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
In the first contestants-only vote I voted for 50 people! More people than are left!

But my brain still can't reconcile the dwindling numbers yet.

[identity profile] beautyofgrey.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I am trying to prepare for an interview (I'm on the giving end....and I need more questions to ask so I can take up 30 minutes....so what are your favorite interview questions?!)

Other than that, I want to relax today! I am so excited about the weekend and not having any work to do!!!!!!!!

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
What are you interviewing for?

I'd want to ask something personal (but not too personal) to get to know a little more about the person behind the suit - like "What is your favorite vacation destination and why?" or something akin to that.

The answers might give you more insight - for example, do they enjoy a party atmosphere, lazing around by a pool/beach, or going somewhere adventurous?

[identity profile] beautyofgrey.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
An engineering position for air quality work. It's a bit vague, we've hiring a lot of people b/c we need help on lots of projects. :) (See, the economy IS improving!)

[identity profile] worldofcharlie.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Well it's kind of true..job market's picking up...we've been getting calls since the year started - Since February...about contract gigs..

just that the recruiters are 80% more annoying than they used to be...I think just temporary jobs...things are picking up...dunno about permanent work - I think companies are gun shy about taking risks on hiring someone permanently if they think they need to lay off workers down the line...

[identity profile] beautyofgrey.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I will admit...we are being ultra-picky and we've cycled a lot of people through in the past two months. We put people through a full-day interview process to determine how they will fit with the company, in part due to wanting to take on permanent hires, and not waste money/time in training people who won't work out.

[identity profile] worldofcharlie.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
well generally that's the idea of bringing people as contractors first...so you try them out and see if they work out...

I'm seeing more ...bringing in people to do specific work...and not hiring them as well...soon as the work's done..that's it...

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack! I hope your interview goes (went) well!!!

And I'm very glad to hear you have a work-free weekend. I hope you have lots and lots of relax time. You need it! :-)

[identity profile] roina-arwen.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I got my LOLCat t-shirt in the mail yesterday - w00! It is red with an orange cartooned cat standing up on his hind legs, looking kinda sad. The caption reads, "I made you a cookie... but I eated it."

So I made a batch of break-n-bake cookies last night (chocolate chip, plus about a dozen sugar cookies) and brought them in to work today. Obviously, I'm wearing the t-shirt to go with it.

And yes, I eated a cookie!

Otherwise, it is Friday and that is always cause for celebration. =)

[identity profile] joeymichaels.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I lurve yer icon.

[identity profile] supremegoddess1.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I am awake earlier than I would like, but other than that I'm not doing too badly.

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I also got up a small rec list on my journal this week.

[identity profile] beautyofgrey.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey! I just posted a rec list, too! :D

(over here (http://beautyofgrey.livejournal.com/593156.html))

[identity profile] cacophonesque.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Hooray!

Also I'm glad that you mentioned [livejournal.com profile] pixie117 on yours as well. That was an awesome post--and something I know will appeal to a number of my own friends.

[identity profile] drjeff.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Still on vacation... yay! My lovely girlfriend is now also on vacation... yay!

What I wish was going on is that I wish my name was in that poll. :)

Now to go figure out what kind of weekend we can put together with 8b bucks!

&hearts

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
And how did your girlfriend's interview go?

[identity profile] onda-bianca.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"What I wish was going on is that I wish my name was in that poll. :)"

Me too!

[identity profile] crimsonplum.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Morning folks! I have had too much bad-for-me food this morning, and I don't care.

Today holds work, work, and more work. Only a week and a half till things calm down...

...but this evening, there is a crawfish-and-gumbo party after work! And then in the morning, I'm headed out to visit with [livejournal.com profile] fwtallgirl!

Plus, Saturday night, I have a date with a very handsome young man: thick blond hair, big blue eyes, quite tan, tall and long-legged...and five and a half. :) Yep, his mom has agreed to loan me her fwtallkid for a fun evening out! I'm too excited. :)

[identity profile] crimsonplum.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Will do!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a fun, fun, fun weekend! Crawfish and gumbo... mmmmmmmm... yumminess.

Sounds like quite the date also. Hubba hubba! :-p

[identity profile] crimsonplum.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Work has torpedoed the crawfish and gumbo...but I'm not too heartbroken...I get to have sushi and churrasco instead. :)

[identity profile] beeker121.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a meeting this morning at 10a. I know all the office folks are thinking 'oh poor you' but 10a is early in theater time. Also, the invite was only sent to about half of the people I think it should have been, so we'll see how useful it is.

Other than that the plan this weekend is to buy a new mattress set.

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack. I hope that your meeting went well. Hopefully it was a *good* meeting!

Hope you have a great weekend!!!

It wasn't bad. At least it felt like there was a reason for me to be there, and I think I've got the one morning off from rehearsal I needed.

Yay for weekends! May your's rock as well.

Well, glad you had a purpose. ;-)

We're in this weird rut...and ruts are hard to get out of...

Usually the rut has to go away on it's own...

But I'm hoping that tomorrow after going to (Carrie is) a Housewarming and then a birthday party (I may be at the birthday party)...that social interaction might pull us out of it.

Really just waiting for our body to get back to "normal" from being jetlagged.

Isn't Mother's Day still several weeks off? (just noting Gary's comment in parathesis about Mom jokes) Unless I'm missing something here...

Howdy Howdy Howdy All... :-)

Today is... strange. Woke up from a really strange dream which initially set me off-kilter... then there was a massive line at my Starbucks so I had to proceed to work sans coffee *pout*... and then wandered into a massive clusterfu*k on the freeway heading into work which made me uber-late. Well... later than I *usually* like getting here. So now I have to stay later at the office. On a Friday. NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Despite all that, I'm feeling chipper and kinda bouncy for completely unknown reasons at the moment. Perhaps somebody slipped me some happy pills or something. *shrug*

Hope everybody has a fantastic weekend lined up!!!

You're chipper and happy because you have wonderful friends like me and it's impossible to be down when you've got so much sunshine in your life!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You're so incredibly right!!! You are my permanent pair of sunshiney underpants. :-)

Oh no...work without coffee?

There's always the McCafe...;)

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
The McCafe? Oh my.... chicken pie? I don't know that I'd sully myself by drinking one of those abominations! lol....

You are a coffee snobby!

[identity profile] java-fiend.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Errrrrrrrr... yeah maybe a little. :-)

I actually worked today, so that was good. Well, tow hours worth of work, but hey, I will take what I can get.

If I can find a dog sitter at the last minute, looks like I may be spending the weekend in Chicago with friends...anyone care to volunteer? She's a GIANT sweetheart :)

I need to do a million things before that can even happen, so better get off LJ I suppose.

I know what I wish could be happening, but it's probably not appropriate to talk about here...

I'm about to go to sleep. We have to get up at 6 am tomorrow and will be disembarking the cruise ship. I'm so sad to be leaving. This has been the trip of a lifetime. On the bright side, we're going to London for the next week for one more week of vacation. I just have to survive most of the day at Barcelona airport tomorrow and then we're onto the UK!

I'm excited to be heading up to Santa Rosa tonight to see The Greg. Unfortunately, it's because I'm helping him move. I am tired of moving. *yawns*
