I am sitting nicely in a patch of rare sunlight as I wait for my flatmates to get up.

It is 1:30 in the afternoon.

I have been up for almost 6 hours.

This is entirely normal for this household ;-)

I took yesterday off, so today I have a lot to do. Including moving a sofa from the front room down to my room. Which is harder than it sounds as it won't fit through the door frame. So we'll be taking it outside, down the steps from the deck, into the yard, and then in through my sliding glass door. First, though, I have to make room for it.

Then I have a full day of work (2 projects are due next week) and prepping for a guild meeting tomorrow. Tomorrow I have the guild meeting (now a nearly 2 hour drive away), then swinging by the old house to pick up more stuff and furniture. I think Sunday is free right now which is great.

I'm trying really hard not to obsess over the polls. :(

Oh dear, good luck with the sofa! I had to help move a desk a few months ago ... turned on its side, it managed to fit through the door, but then needed one of us on each side to move it further. And it had needed both of us on the same side to turn it. I ended up wriggling my way through the empty drawer area in order to squeeze under the desk and through the door XD

Yeah, we measured and saw that the only way to get it in the door was to twist it. Well, it has a pull out mattress, so that idea was nixed. This way, we should be able to put it on a furniture dolly and just roll it out into the backyard and then back into my room through the sliding glass door (which is much wider than my bedroom door). I just have to play tetris with the furniture and stuff I do have first.

I'm going to see my dad who I haven't seen in a year and a half! :D I'm a daddy's girl so it kinda sucks he lives so far away.

I have today off, but not by choice.

I'll be back Sunday sometime, possibly Monday.

I believe a trip to the mall is about to ensue. I can't believe Spring Break is nearly over. I'm a bit sad about that.

Although I am taking two days off next week, so I can't get too sad!

Either way, 5:30 Monday morning is going to be tough...

Yeah, I'm going from two rooms in a house to one room here. And it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. As it is, putting the sofa in here makes it very tight, but I need somewhere other than my office chair to sit, and I'd like to have a place for friends to sit when they come visit. Right now, my bed is a mattress on the floor until I can get the rest of my stuff, so that's not a comfy place to sit, either. I'll be so glad when it's all done.

*raises hand* Witness. There *is* a chance at early release today, though...

So I am (slowly) getting ready for work, slightly less cold-ish than yesterday. Did not manage to do much reading yet; hoping I can fit enough in! We have family plans this weekend, and a...erm...family member's special occasion (so as not to totally out my RL identity)...so can you wish my...family member...a happy special occasion? :)

Happy Friday! Hopefully I will get to leave work early. And then, I will catch a bus to Maine. And then I will be much more happy.

I will not have a Bunny visit on Sunday, though. Oh well.

We get a half-day off today, w00. I only have to work until 11:45 (aka 2.25 more hours... not that I'm counting).

Once I escape this place, there will be shopping for stuff to put into Easter baskets (not exclusively candy - sometimes DVDs and other miscellaneous stuff make appearances). On Sunday I'll be having lunch with the minikin clan at a place called Country Cookin' By George, which I've never eaten at before, and for dinner we'll be grilling out brats and burgers at our place, seeing as the weather is so nice.

Beyond that, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to write up something about Making Fire, on the off chance that I may need it this round...
