The deadline to get in your entry is tomorrow afternoon and there are still quite a few to go: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/278758.html

But check out the ones that *are* in. Because there is some incredible work in there already.

The subject came up last night that some contestants, even after I have said it several times, might not have gotten a very specific message.

So I'll say it again. I'll even put it in bold.

It's OK to vote for yourself.

Some people don't want to do it because they don't feel right about it. I can understand that, although you're coming out and showcasing your work in public, there's at least *some* self-promotion gene in you. Even if you're just faking it. ;)

If you like an entry, support it. Regardless of who wrote it. Even if that person is you. Unless of course you really don't like yourself, your entries, and really just want to see you eliminated! "Get out of my way. . .uh, myself!!"

But considering how close most of these votes have been, having one more vote in your column is never a bad thing.

The second part of this, that I haven't been asked, but I've noticed it - It's OK for contestants to vote. Preferred actually. A number of you aren't.
I assume there is a reason. I have heard some people say that since they haven't read all the entries that they want to be fair and so they don't vote at all.
This works, right up to the point where something you *have* read and loved gets eliminated by one vote.

You obviously can do this any way you want to do it. That goes triple for voting. But if you don't vote, you don't get a say in who stays and who goes.
If you are willing not to have that, don't be surprised when someone else isn't.

Happy Friday!

Actually, I think it's a pretty decent show, myself. A lot of baby mama's daddy's drama type stuff, but still a pretty decent show overall.
