Green Room - Week 10 - Day 1

Good morning and welcome back to the game!

Yes, I'll go ahead and confirm the obvious that the new topic will be out later today!

I haven't had a "break" in the game before, so I'm hoping that people convince me that it's a good idea by all coming back!*G*

So how was everyone's extended weekend? How are you planning on getting by this week?*G*

Ok. I'm sorry, but whatthefuck does that topic even MEAN?

Ok. Thanks for the example. But how are we not going to have exactly one hundred posts that say exactly that?

[identity profile] spydielives.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think we will get 100 topics like that. But that is a rather extreme example of what I think he means. Another one might be this:

I dunno. A big part of my deciding whether or not to vote for an entry has to do with whether or not it's relevant to the topic. I just don't see a whole lot of room in this one. No one from my offline life even knows I'm on LJ, except my two closest friends who are also on LJ, so it's not like people are going to find things, and I'm pretty straight forward and (usually) avoid drama, so it's not like my online friends are going to think I'm talking about them, because if I am I just say so. So, blargh.

I have a ton of faith in you.

Hah! Silly you!

I don't like this topic at all. I agree with you, Kate. There isn't a lot of wiggle room here without being totally redundant. I'm not sure how to handle this. I have to think on it.

Not to mention that it will be another week of reading a hundred ranty posts.

I think that you could also write about vanity in general, or about similar situations in real life, or about drama that you've witnessed/been affected by, or lots of things... It seems pretty broad to me.

Teach me, oh great one, how to have a drama-free existence.

::points to the word "usually"::

Spend more time with animals and less time with humans. :)

I think that was a version of my first thought at the topic. Thankfully, upon reflection, I was able to come up with something within the topic. I don't want to interfere with your creative process, though, so I'm reluctant to give any pointers unless you ask for some.

I am with you. I can think of a RL example or two, but I'm not sure what to do with this. Suddenly I'm grateful I still have a bye to spend.
