On behalf of myself and the best friend Cheetos has ever had
kithan thank you for a wonderful season!
The doors to the Green Room are now locked, however if you'll just walk this way over to the Banquet Hall. . . it's not much further I promise.
Ah, here we are.
The decorations look nice and the catering company seems to have put out a spread worthy of
ewok_626's standards.
You'll no doubt notice the tables, chairs, comfy couches spread across the room as well as the sizeable dance floor. It's because this isn't a normal "Wrap Party".
It's also a FRIENDING FRENZY!!!!!
One of the (many) things that I love about Idol is the relationships that are formed in the trenches as the season progresses. But quite a few of them this time around started at last year's Wrap Party/Friending Frenzy!
I, personally, have made more friends this season than any in the past.
I think that holds true for most of you as well.
That said, enjoy the space - mingle and kick back. Introduce yourself to people, and by all means, TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO STOP BY!!!!! You never know if that newbie you mention it to might be the next LJ Idol!!!!
Obviously, no smoking indoors, soliciting or flash photography and keep your arms and legs inside the Banquet Hall at all times.
It's our last day together in Season Four - let's have some fun!

Date: 2008-06-16 09:16 am (UTC)Hey y'all! I figured none of the security staff would be awake this early on a Monday morning and...I was right! I've got a flashlight, bagels and some cream cheese and jelly to share...anyone want to join me?
Any good Father's Day stories to share? Got any rockin' plans for this week?

Father's Day was great. I worked in the morning, got a new cell phone in the afternoon, and went to see my FIL in the late afternoon. Then we went to my MIL's house and she took us out to dinner and got me drunk.
Yes, she got me drunk. No real 2 ways about it. We started with champagne and ended with red wine and I was SO drunk by the end of the night. Whew. I spent the night not feeling too well because I (1) was drunk and (2) ate too much. But the day was fun and I was especially happy.

Date: 2008-06-16 02:42 pm (UTC)This is the same Mother in Law from the One Lump or Two entry. More proof first impressions can be deceiving.

Date: 2008-06-16 11:42 am (UTC)I hope no one got a crick in their neck. I have heard that sofa can be rather uncomfortable for sleeping (but fun for huggles).

My only plans for the week is to survive...we only have 3 people in the office today.

Date: 2008-06-16 07:26 pm (UTC)Hey, I don't know if you know about this but knittinghelp.com is awesome and has videos for both continental and english knitting.

Date: 2008-06-16 09:55 pm (UTC)And thanks for the link! The casting on went well, but the actual knitting just leaves me in tangles and what looks like twice as many stitches as I had before. Yikes! (Also, there are two different kinds of knitting? The more you know.)
