Green Room - Week 20 - Day 1

Good morning.

*yawn*

Oh this having access thing is going to be dangerous. You Tube has Season 2 of the South African version of Survivor! They seem to have other versions as well, which just spells trouble for me.

So what are you guys going to be unleashing upon this unsuspecting week?

I think that the first part--that we are learning each others thoughts, dreams, secrets, and emotions--is why it gets harder and harder to see people leave every week.

It is an odd feeling to know that you don't know everything. But I'm willing to bet that many of my real life friends don't know some things about me.

i think what's odd to me isn't that we don't know everything, but that we only know the intense stuff, the stuff we don't just talk to everyone about. it's like the opposite of a regular friendship, which starts knowingincidental things about each other and builds to learning each others most intimate thoughts

Very true. It is strange. This whole contest has been very emotional for me, both with unleashing these personal stories and reading others.

I think it would be interesting to go back to the Topic 0 posts and see what people revealed about themselves when it was just a basic introduction.

Round 0 excerpt (http://spydielives.livejournal.com/1586552.html#cutid1)

Though I shake and quake in fear,
I plan to also engineer
a modest false-biography.

I am often known to wail
At my thoughts that do go stale
But I'll never write pornography.

good point. I didn't say much about myself, but i did explain why i was participating in idol, and what i hoped to do...

I am going to get a bulldozer. To get a bulldozer and go in search of me. I am going to go into that room, break down those walls, and really listen to what it is I have to say

I think over the internet...people say stuff that they wouldn't normally say in RL..or isn't permissible in RL...

for instance...boundaries are very different...one for online friends on the internet and in RL...

With me...well internet is my only link to the outside world..for that I'm grateful...

This is an interesting discussion. We have become a rather tight little community through each week. It reminds me of when I was thrown into "how to be blind gracefully school" that I referred to in my entry. We were thrown together with people we wouldn't normally meet and were living through some intense emotions. Thus being drawn together very quickly. One of my best friends is from those days. There has been drama here but I do have to say there has been respect for people's intense admissions in their writing and for that I am grateful and happy. we certainly are an interesting bunch!
