I've been thinking a lot lately about compatibility when it comes to love languages.   For those of you will partners - what are you, and what are they? 

My "love language" is Acts of Terror.  That's how I show my feelings, by unleashing absolute terror onto people, usually to force them to write!  Sometimes this is accompanied by "Acts of Violence, Specifically Kicking"

My love language probably devolves on food. If people are coming to see me, the first thing I think about is what to feed them, work out what they would like, give them choices.

Having said that, when I get drunk I have a dreadful tendency to insist that all present need new underwear and that’s my typical drunken purchase. So I am either a mother hen with boundary issues or a fat pervert; take your pick!

Ugh. My “love language” is open communication. I would like to listen to you and hear about your hopes and expectations. If you care about me, I would hope that you also want to hear about mine. None of this “how can we repackage our needs to fit into the other person’s language?” Give me the ask culture over the guess culture any day of the week. I guess I’m pretty skeptical about love languages.
