I have lots of fluffy snow outside my window.

I am going to give it another hour and then take Caroline out to play in the snow while I shovel the front walk.

The sad thing is that this is turning to rain later today. But right now it is right pretty.

**I** am the one who got kicked out of the so-uncomfortable hospital bed at 5am, got refused by two cabs while standing in the freezing rain until I moved further away from said hospital, and then was locked out of my apartment by my darling husband who forgot that putting the chain on the door would prevent me from getting in.

You... probably just didn't have any... up... water or something.

I lost control of my car going down a snowy hill today and slid backwards into a major road. Luckily, it was almost empty and no one hit me. It's awful today, and it's only going to get worse. :-(

I am on day one of my super duper restricted diet from hell today. It's 1:40 PM, and I'm already dying for real food.

Strangely enough, most days, I don't even get hungry until the evening. Dieting messes with your head, I think.

Tons of snow on teh ground and still snowing here.

The girl is still in bed, covered in our fur (fake) blankets and that does not make one want to go to work. Ah her glamorous life as an academic.

I, meanwhile, have to pick up 20 copies of my book from my publisher for an event tomorrow, which is exactly what one wants to do in a damn snow storm (I also hope it doesn't effect tomorrow's turnout).
