Working from the office two days a week has been good for meeting with the new company and bad for everything else. REALLY bad for actually getting anything done. I feel like we are completely underwater at this point. Which - I warned them. No one can say I didn't...  and I ended up missing an important statewide-meeting because the new senior leadership wanted my input on some issues, and then of course some of the same people wanted to know why I had missed that meeting... :D

Oh my gosh Gary! Leadership can be pretty dense sometimes. My job is rarely too stressful, but last week I ended up being made to scramble on a project I've been working on because it was like suddenly folks realised there was a deadline and they hadn't been able to get hold of a part-timer who'd claimed some work that needed to be done before said deadline, so I got asked to take over and start it from scratch. I only work part-time too, so I was impressed I managed to actually get everything done that had been asked of me in that scramble crunch time. And now my new manager seems to be pleased because I'm trying to stay on top of things so it doesn't happen again.

I worked on my Idol entry last night and posted it before I went to bed because I wasn't sure I'd have enough time to focus on it after work today, since the deadline is like 6pm my time and yesterday that's around what time I got home from picking my son up from summer camp. D: I haven't even had time to re-read my entry at this point, so I just hope it's okay and I'm glad I was able to go back to my ongoing saga this time after a couple of weeks off from it.
