Anyone have any plans for the weekend?
***
How have you been doing anyway? Not a lot of people have been using these spaces, so I haven't been updating every day. But I still want to touch base and see what you have been up to during the week!
I'm looking forward to getting back to the polls/headed back home in January!

Date: 2021-12-03 03:32 pm (UTC)Although, my plan was originally to do a long hike that would take us several hours, but maybe with it being cool outside, we can get away with doing a shorter one and taking a slower pace so I don't get all sweaty? Now I'm off to AllTrails to see what I can find!

Date: 2021-12-03 04:26 pm (UTC)Plans for this weekend...well, if there is no more snow, making the roads from the "city" my friend lives in impassable, then I will be going to church on Saturday. If there is snow, we'll zoom the service from our respective cities.
We had about half an inch last night here in the big city. I've already been out and swept it, some of it, off the patio and fed the critters. It was a bit chilly for just jammies, but I'm a tough Canadian. And the wonderful thing about being out in the cold is coming inside to the wonderful warmth afterward. Feels so good!
Oh, and writing a mini-sequel to Seven Prayers to Papa for the prompt this week. Fun!
I'm enjoying my first 8oz of iced coffee as I watch the magpies do what they do, eat and fight. Pretty much what the squirrels do too. LOL!
Excuse me!...
...My uncle came by with hearing aid batteries for me. Bless his heart! So we had a bit of a visit outside while he chose some hand-knitted washcloths as a reward. I had to apologize, I was still in my jammies. LOL!
So, that's about it. TMI, right?

Date: 2021-12-03 04:45 pm (UTC)My mom has been enjoying the cardinals at our feeder in the back. We have her chair situated where she can look out the back door's window and see them. :)

Date: 2021-12-03 06:07 pm (UTC)I'm ready for snow. I mean I have stuff to do in the yard, but we'll get chinooks and so that's like little mini springs. :-)

Date: 2021-12-03 04:49 pm (UTC)Other than that, no plans for the weekend. I'm sure there is some laundry and housecleaning in there somewhere.
Heading to Florida (south of you, Gary) for a sorta long weekend from the 10th to the 13th with my mom -- so have to start getting organized for that. Lots of logistics when traveling with a walker/wheelchair and a portable oxygen concentrator. Mom hasn't been "home" to see her sisters in 5 or 6 years... and her health isn't that great, so need to get the visit DONE.
Work is work is work. Nothing new to report there... it's semi-slowing down due to the holidays, but not enough to really notice yet. By the 3rd week of Dec, I will be crying for things to do.

Date: 2021-12-04 02:19 am (UTC)Having over 60 degree days in Ohio and no rain means I got a bunch of yard work done in comfort before dark. Yay! My front walkway does look like Halloween now! Dead, yucky overgrowth is gone! I even found four still thriving tomatoes! Whooo!
